Driver fined $4,000 for breaking curfew, ignoring road closure in Montreal
A woman racked up $4,130 in fines and had to have her car towed for defying the curfew and ignoring a road closure on the Métropolitain expressway early Saturday.
The incident happened about 3:45 a.m., nearly two hours after a broken water main caused a sinkhole on Highway 40, forcing the closure of eastbound lanes near L’Acadie Blvd.
